saatchi day

Tuesday was Saatchi day- a representative from the advertisement company Saatchi came in to talk to us and do a sort of work shop activity with us- just like those primary days when pplz come in lolz!

We all got into groups and had to come up with ideas for an advertising campaign for helping stop or at least reduce the amount of teenagers getting severely injured or even killed in road accidents. We had to design posters, TV ads, ads that could be in stations or even sprayed don pavements and walls, so that everyone everywhere can see them. 

All the ads were different, but they all had something the same, the tag line:

DON'T DIE BEFORE YOU'VE LIVED

Things We Learnt Today...

Another day in diploma class with ms flavell today.
We had a double lesson which is now nearly over and now we have to write some blogs about what we learned today.

We learnt tequniques for interviews by watching and learning from an interview that kitty did with simon, it was sooo funny and amazing bbz.

We learned to use:

Eye Contact

To be friendly and informal while still making your point

Using Open Questions

Voice Projection and Confidence

Prepare your questions before

Before the interviews starts rolling put your interviewee at ease with casual chit chat

Give out questions in advance so questions can be prepared

Respond appropiately to the anwers you get

Drama

The other day in Diploma class we had a drama class with Miss Cornish. We all had to get into groups and come up with a mini-play to perform to the class. I think our group had a good idea but we didn't work as well as we could have done because we kept changing our idea around and then when we actually had it finished we only had a very short time to practice before it was filmed. And then we kinda messed it up, lol! We totally gt the giggles and it was sooo funny! Tbh, I always get the giggles when I have to perform stuff in front of a camera, I don't like drama.

It was an alright lesson.

Our First Diploma Trip-BBC!

Hiiii again guys!!!

so anyway had a lot goin on recently including a trip to the BBC!
It was soooooo fun we all went everyone in the diploma class and me and Ann-Marie made a video with the help of Alex and Marley but then we had an argument and I slapped Marley so we had to break up groups and worked on our own individual videos. Ours was better than theirs hahaha :P


The food was horrible there and I'm glad I bought my own lunch! LOL!
There were some very boring, funny, annoying, amazing, silly, brilliant, stupid, COOL moments on this trip. So pretty much a whole big mixture.

My favourite memory was when we did practice interviews and mine was the longest because I'm so interesting lol :PPPP

My first lesson in the C&M Diploma!

HI EVERYONE!

I'm Aoife aka Fi-Fi and Welcome To My World, here at BlogSpot :D

This is my first lesson doing my new Creative&Media Diploma and my first day in year 10 at Stoke Newington School. I'm doing this because originally I was doing the Media BTEC and when it was cancelled I was transferred to this instead. I really didn't want to do it at first and tried to change it but the only options left to change to were Sports Studies or languages which are sooooo totally boring. So I decided I had to stick with the Diploma and make the best out of it. So far it has been a mixture of boring and fun with a lot of confusing computers. I'm quite nervous of handling all the work involved with this course, but I've survived much worse in my time!
Now I'm gonna tell you a few things about myself.


Well...
I'm 14 years old and my 15th BDay is coming up soon on the 6th of October, and I'm getting my belly button peirced as a present for it from my mum, I am sooooo excited about it!
Animals are my passion and I want to be a Vetinary Nurse when I'm older. If I can't be a Vetinary Nurse though I'd like to work as a classroom assistant teacher I actually dunno what the job title is but you do the job Simon does. It would also be fun to be a Playboy model and visit the mansion in America ect but thats only a dream really LOL. I currently have one cat and one hamster. My hobbies are myspace, baking cup cakes, SHOPPING, listening to music and writing in my diary every day. My best friend in the whole wide world is definitely Hayley, I've known her since we were both 4, and she's the sister I never had. I hate liars more than anything, and I love pink more than anything lol. And I love being blonde, you may say to me, oh you're not a natural blonde, but, I'm Blonde At Heart, ok?
My favourite celebrities who inspire me are Sara Jean Underwood, Holly Madison, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.
